What is hourly pricing?

Hourly pricing allows the salon to give you a flat cost for your appointment; this means you don't get charged per bowl of color used or how many foils get placed in your hair. You always get to control the outcome this way! Extra bonus-you don't ever have to feel obligated to tip; it's part of the hourly cost!

Do I have to use a full hour?

No! EX: If your six year old daughter can only sit for a 15 minute timeslot and doesn't want to have their hair washed we can work with that! No need to be charged for time you don't need.

So I'll be punished for having more hair?

NO! We don't charge per bowl of color used or mixed; we also strive to have faster practices so it doesn't take longer just because you're blessed with tons of hair. In fact, more hair rarely adds on more than 15-30 minutes (even that's pushing it) so rest assured, having lots of hair won't be a punishment.

Where are you exactly?

Mavens Hair Boutique resides within Sola Suites which is directly next to the AMC theater in the Streets of Woodfield.

How do I purchase products?

Mavens has an online store that ships directly from our salon distributor. That means trusted products and fast shipping. It's the best way to keep costs down for guests and your stylist can still make a commission if you want your stylist to get 'credit'.

What is a salon suite? Why are you in Sola Suites?

A salon suite is a perfect venue for a small business/salon; Mavens is located in a 'single' currently. This means there is one stylist and one styling chair in the room.

Each room in Sola is a different beauty/health business ! Mavens Hair Boutique's suite is a more intimate space, which helps with anyone who might have anxiety in larger spaces; this also means you don't have to concern yourself with feeling 'left out' or 'being an outcast'.

Where do I park?

Park in the free parking garage in front of the theater.

When heading out of the garage, you'll head to the left of the theater and see a glass door with a black awning that says "Sola".

Between 5PM-10AM the doors are locked; please use the silver call device near the left of the door to scroll until you see "Mavens" and then select "call". The machine will call the salon so that you can be let in.
